A Story of Grace and Redemption

Don and Shannon Schaupp’s story is one of redemption, hospitality, and a lifelong desire to help others know and experience the love of God. After careers in the U.S. Air Force, higher education, ministry, art, teaching, and mentoring, their lives have been shaped by a shared commitment to serve others and remain teachable before the Lord.

They met and married in 1968, and in 1970 came to a vibrant personal faith in Jesus through the loving witness of a neighboring family. Since then, they have sought to live surrendered to God’s leading, using their gifts to encourage others, build His Kingdom, and create space for people to encounter Him. They are the parents of four sons and grandparents of ten, and describe their own lives as “broken clay pots” rescued and redeemed by the hands of the Potter.
